How to Cook Sauteed Chayote and Its Recipe

This chayote vegetable is one of the traditional recipes that are relatively easy to make. Chayote squash can be cooked in various ways. One of the popular dishes among culinary lovers is stir-fried chayote vegetables. 

This savory cuisine you will often find in homes, especially during the holiday because this vegetable is very suitable combined with white rice. Even though it is made from simple vegetables, it is also one of the favorite home menus. 

Ingredients:

1 squash of chayote
2 tablespoons of oil to saute
½ teaspoon of sugar
¼ teaspoon of salt
2 cm galangal
1 bay leaf
Seasoning:
1 small tomato
2 cloves of garlic
3 shallots
2 red chilies

How to make:

  1. Clean the sap that is in the squash by cutting chayote into 2 parts. Swipe the pumpkin until the sap comes out.
  2. Peel chayote and grate chayote until it is elongated
  3. The sliced spices are prepared
  4. Add the squash and stir until it is withered. Add water then mix with sugar and salt.
  5. Wait until the water thickens and permeates. Sauteed chayote is ready to be served.
